Global Anti PFAS Alliance (G A P A)
The dangers of PFAS are only just becoming common knowledge after 20 years of corporations and governments knowing how dangerous they are.
Some Corporations have also been making obscene profits while flaunting safety, of workers, residents and the environment.
How does GAPA work?
We are uniting communities across the globe who are troubled by pollution caused by Corporations manufacturing and using PFAS and derivatives of PFAS (including those chemicals that are bonded with either Carbon 8, Carbon 6 or Carbon 4 strings).
Communities fighting PFAS pollution think that they are alone, with GAPA we unite these communities with information moral support and businesses that will support them through dificult circumstances.
The Chemical Whack-a-Mole
It's been said that chemical companies are playing 'Chemical Whack-a-Mole' (for those who don't know what this is, it's fairground game where toy moles pop their heads up and the player has to whack it with a toy mallet).
In the case of Chemicals, once one Chemical is found to be harmful to the environment and life (human or otherwise) and its banned, another is created and sold until the same affects are discovered and it happens all over again.
In the case of PFAS the Florine may have been removed from products such as Fire Fighting Foam.
But, they still contain Carbon atoms bound together which are difficult to break down in Nature, we also question whether the use of Silicon in future foams are just as harmful to human and animal life if they get in our systems..
Better Regulation
The Chemical Industry needs to be regulated. Chemicals new and current need to be tested for potential harm to (all) Life and Environment before they are allowed to be sold.
Owners and Directors of these companies need to be held accountable, criminally and financially, if they are found to put profits before the safety of their workers, our health, Communities and/or the Environment they need to be held criminally responsible.
Not just the Chemical Companies, but Water Utility firms and the Authorities that let this pollution happen need to be held to account as well.
